China is the dwelling place of the great red dragon, the place where people have resisted and condemned God most severely throughout history. China is like a prison and a fortress of the demons controlled by the devil, which is impenetrable and watertight. The regime of the great red dragon guards at all levels and sets up defense in every household against God. So, China is the place where it is most difficult for God’s gospel to be spread and for God’s work to be carried out. After the Communist Party of China came into power in 1949, religious belief in Mainland China was completely suppressed and banned. Millions of Christians were criticized and denounced at public meetings or put in prison. All the churches were completely closed down and confiscated. Even family gatherings were not allowed. If anyone was found to hold a meeting, he would be put in prison or even be killed. At that time, religious activities were almost nowhere to be seen. Although there were still a few Christians who held on to their belief in God, they could only silently sing hymns to praise God and pray to God in their hearts, beseeching God to revive the church. At last, in 1981 the church was really revived. The Holy Spirit began to work greatly in China, so the churches sprang up like bamboo shoots after a spring rain, and the number of the believers in God grew increasingly. In 1983 when the church revival reached its climax, the Communist Party of China started a new round of cruel suppression. Millions of believers were arrested, imprisoned, or reeducated through labor. The regime of the great red dragon only allowed the believers in God to attend the state-run Three-Self Patriotic Protestant Churches, trying to extirpate the underground house churches. However, the Holy Spirit still worked greatly in the underground churches, which could in no way be restricted by the government. In the stream of the Holy Spirit’s working, the incarnated Christ appeared in a hidden way and began to work in some house churches. In 1991, a sister in a church, who received the moving and words from the Holy Spirit, testified to “God’s name” and “God’s arrival.” At the time, the people were all very excited, but they did not know what it was all about. From then on, Christ began to utter her voice and speak words, one piece after another. All the people passed them around for perusal, feeling that they were the words of the Holy Spirit and were definitely from God. Everyone was extremely excited and was full of enjoyment in the meetings. They were all immersed in happiness. As Christ expressed more words, all the people concentrated on enjoying God’s words, and their hearts were completely attracted by them. In the meetings, they formally began to enjoy the current words of the Holy Spirit. At that time, they did not know that God had been incarnated and that Christ had appeared. They merely regarded Christ’s expression as the revelation of the Holy Spirit that an ordinary sister received. Because in Christ’s expression, God’s incarnation had not been formally testified to, none of them knew what the incarnation was all about. As they only knew that the words were the revelations of the Holy Spirit, they still called Christ sister and treated her as a human. It was when Christ’s speaking reached its climax that God began to testify to his incarnation, expounding the differences between the Holy Spirit’s descending upon a man and the Holy Spirit’s working on a man and disclosing the mystery of the Spirit’s being realized in the flesh. Not until then did the people know that the sister who lived among them and spoke words to shepherd and supply the churches was God incarnate, Christ, and God who had appeared. After having this sudden realization, they all hated themselves for being too blind, foolish, and ignorant, and all bowed down before Christ weeping in repentance and deep sorrow, their cries being heard everywhere. At that time, their hearts were filled with mixed feelings of grief and joy, which was beyond description. When seeing Christ, they only knew to fall on their faces. If they did not do so, they felt uneasy in their hearts; and once they did, they had enjoyment and felt they had really returned before God and belonged to God. Since Christ’s appearing, she has expressed more and more words, which has gradually entered the right track of God’s working and lifted the curtain over the judgment beginning with the family of God. God’s words have completely conquered the people. Because of Christ’s revealing the meaning of God’s names, the name of Almighty God has come into being, and the people have begun to pray directly in the name of Almighty God. In the meetings, they have started to enjoy the words of Almighty God only, because these words (that is, all the words in The Word Has Appeared in the Flesh) are God’s present work and God’s words of the new age, which can meet people’s present needs. As the new work and word of God has appeared, the Bible has naturally become old, and various statements and theories of the Age of the Grace have naturally been forgotten. All people have been conquered by the present word of God as if they had seen heaven opened, for God has disclosed all kinds of mysteries. This has broadened their views and made them see that the majority of the statements people held in the Age of the Grace are notions and errors and are long-standing mistaken ideas. Thanks to God’s appearing, the people have stepped onto the right track of belief in God. Only after they have been conquered by the word of God have they found that this ordinary and normal person expressing the word of God is none other than Christ, the incarnated flesh of God.

Christ was born into an ordinary family in the northern part of China. Even in early childhood, she knew that there is a God. She gradually grew up as an ordinary person does. In 1989, when the Holy Spirit worked greatly in house churches, Christ dropped out of school and formally entered the house churches. At the time, Christ was fervent in her heart and extremely thirsted to serve God and perform her duty. Two years later, Christ received the moving of the Holy Spirit and began to express words; that is, she wrote down the words in her heart and gave them to the churches. Afterward, as Christ expressed words of testimony and of revelation, she was recognized and exalted by the people and became the practical God venerated and loved by mankind. Christ not only has a normal humanity but also has full divinity. She can express the truth and expose the substance of mankind’s corruption at any time and in any place. Like Jesus, she is full of truths and wisdom in her speaking and viewing things. What Christ speaks and what she has are not learned from books but completely originate from the divine substance she possesses. Undoubtedly Christ comes from God. From her daily life the people can see her completely normal humanity, while from her work and her patience with mankind, they can see her divine substance and her nature which does not tolerate man’s offense. Like Jesus, she has human weaknesses, but much more has the substance of obeying the Spirit of God. She is full of truths and wisdom, which causes the people to be sincerely convinced. Christ is really the truth, the way, and the life! God has been incarnated and become a small person. She humbles and hides herself and does the work among men, conquering mankind and defeating her enemies through expressing the truth. She has already triumphed completely and been testified to and proclaimed. This is God’s almightiness and wisdom and God’s glory. Because of Christ’s appearing and working, the church of Almighty God has come into being, and the brothers and sisters in the church of Almighty God have begun to testify about God’s work and started the work of spreading Christ’s kingdom gospel. This is a brief introduction to the background of God’s being incarnated and coming in a hidden way to do the work. To put it simply, the incarnated Christ comes to the dwelling place of the great red dragon, expresses the words of judgment and chastisement, and conquers and saves the chosen people of China; that is, the incarnated God wars against satan in the den of the great red dragon, and she expends everything to wake up mankind so that they can hear and recognize God’s voice and thus return before God and be saved by God. This is indeed a very rare thing of extremely profound significance. It is to arrange mankind’s destination and end the age that God is incarnated and does the work to save mankind this time. God comes in a hidden way to do the work in Mainland China—the dwelling place of the great red dragon, conquering and saving the most deeply corrupted human beings and making a group of overcomers. This has lifted the curtain over the judgment of the great white throne in the end time, become the beginning of conquering and saving all mankind, and opened up the way for the next step of God’s public appearing to every country and place in the world.
