In 1995, the work of testifying about Almighty God’s kingdom gospel formally started in Mainland China. With gratitude to God and sincere love, we testified about Almighty God’s appearing and working to the brothers and sisters in various sects and denominations. Unexpectedly, we encountered great resistance and slander of the leaders of various sects and denominations. We could do nothing but come before Almighty God to pray earnestly, beseeching him to do the work personally. From 1997 on, we saw the Holy Spirit worked so greatly that the number of people in the churches in various places increased rapidly. At the same time, many signs and wonders occurred, and numerous brothers and sisters in various sects and denominations returned to Almighty God because they received God’s revelation or saw signs and wonders. If the Holy Spirit had not done the work, what could we human beings have done? From this, we came to know that by our human strength alone, we could not testify about Almighty God though we had understood some truths. After these people from various sects and denominations accepted Almighty God, they gradually became certain about Almighty God through eating, drinking, and enjoying the word of Almighty God. A period of time later, they developed true faith and obedience. This is how those from various sects and denominations are brought before the throne, and they no longer look forward to “meeting the Lord in the air” as people have imagined.

After we started to spread the kingdom gospel, we were cruelly persecuted and hunted by Chinese government. What was more lamentable was that we were cursed, framed, condemned, and rejected by various Catholic and Christian sects and denominations. All these badly beset us and even caused the gospel work to come to a standstill for a time. Facing such a situation, we were at a loss what to do as if we had been besieged on all sides. At the same time, we felt greatly rebuked: We have enjoyed so great a salvation of God and understood so many truths, but we are unable to spread the gospel to other brothers and sisters; we really do not deserve to be God’s witnesses and are really unworthy of God’s commission. In such a frame of mind, we all felt that we lost our duties. We did not know what course to take and how to give account to God, even less know how to face God’s repeated urges. Though at a loss, we still felt that God’s heart was calling us and calling every sheep he wanted to gain. Thus, with indebtedness, guilt, and thirst, we all came before God to pray, pouring out our hearts to him, “O God! May you give us strength and bestow wisdom on us so that we can bring all your sheep back. May your will be carried out through us and your kingdom be expanded. May your word bring more people into your family to receive your salvation. As long as your gospel can be spread, we are willing to undergo greater sufferings, even to sacrifice our lives. May you give us more strength. We are willing to cooperate, following your guidance every step of the way. O God! Because we are weak and small in stature, we cannot complete your commission smoothly. May you bind those hostile powers that disturb the spreading of your gospel, curse those devilish ones which do not belong to you, and remove all the obstacles that hinder us from spreading your gospel. May you open up the way for us.” We believed that God heard our prayer, because we prayed according to his heart’s desire and for the sake of his will. As expected, God did a great work before long, which brought us unprecedented excitement and joy. God bestowed wisdom on us and gave us faith and strength so that the gospel work was spread very fast and soon reached its climax. Every one of us knew and even more believed that it was the good news from God to us and that it was also God’s encouragement and reward to us. The sufferings we had undergone were repaid. From this experience, we deeply understood the true meaning of the word “Only God Godself can do his own work.” Actually, God did not make it hard on us, and even less did he embarrass us. Only, he gave us a small trial in the beginning. With happiness, we thanked God’s guidance, help, care, and keeping from the bottom of our hearts. At the same time, we also saw the greatness of God’s deeds and the honorableness of God’s nature, much more saw God’s righteousness and his intolerance of man’s offense, for God punished many enemies that resisted him while he did the work of saving man. In every sect and every denomination in twenty-four provinces and municipalities of Mainland China, there are typical cases of Christian leaders’ being punished because of their desperately resisting, condemning, and blaspheming Almighty God. The number is many times greater than that of the people who were punished for resisting God’s work in the Age of the Law. Thus it can be seen that the end-time people have been corrupted to the extreme and that they resist God much more ferociously. The fact that so many people have been punished and eliminated has completely fulfilled the prophecy in the Bible “Many are called, but few are chosen.” If the Holy Spirit had not worked greatly, we human beings really could not have done the work of spreading the kingdom gospel. All along, God’s work and the work of spreading the kingdom gospel have been desperately resisted by the great red dragon, the Communist Party of China, and the believers in Almighty God have been cruelly persecuted by it. There are at least more than one hundred thousand believers in the church of Almighty God who were arrested and imprisoned and suffered all kinds of torments and tortures. Many are wanted and hunted by the Communist Part so that they cannot return to their home and have to lead a wandering life to expend for God; many are spied on so that they have no way of performing their duties; many are controlled by the Communist Party of China so that they cannot take one step out of their home…. The regime of the great red dragon has tried all kinds of base means and done all it can to resist and wreck God’s work, expending plenty of human and financial resources, but it can never hinder the pace of God’s working. God maneuvers all things to render a service to the accomplishment of his will. The great red dragon is completely in God’s control, and it has been so frustrated by God as to become utterly confused and helpless. So many times when the great red dragon was about to carry out a nationwide hunt, it was disrupted by God’s arrangement; so many times when it wanted to take action to extirpate the church of Almighty God, it failed; so many times when it tried to take more aggressive action to do away with the work of God, it was aborted under God’s sovereignty and maneuver. Thus the great red dragon became flustered and exasperated, yet there was nothing it could do but accept the bad luck with resignation—Heaven does not support it! Really, heaven is to destroy the Communist Party of China. From the spreading of the kingdom gospel, we have seen God’s almightiness: No matter how ferocious the satanic forces are and how they resist the work of God jointly, it is of no use. In only ten or more years, the kingdom gospel has spread throughout Mainland China. God’s word and name have spread to hundreds of millions of households, and millions of people have come under the name of Almighty God. In various sects and denominations of Mainland China, all who pursue the truth and who sincerely seek God have returned before Almighty God. There are millions of people who are enjoying the word of Almighty God, receiving God’s work and salvation, and praising God’s wonderful deeds. In China, God has made a group of overcomers and gained a group of people who are of one heart and one mind with him, which has opened up the way for God’s public appearing. The work of God has eventually come to an end with glory. God has begun to punish the great red dragon, and soon he will appear publicly to every country and place in the world.
