God’s six-thousand-year management plan is about to end, and the gate of the kingdom has been opened to everyone who is seeking God’s appearing. Dear brothers and sisters, what are you waiting for? What are you seeking? Are you waiting for God’s appearing? Are you searching for God’s footsteps? How desirable is God’s appearing! And how untraceable are God’s footsteps! In such an age and such a world, what can we do to see the day of God’s appearing? What can we do to keep up with God’s footsteps? Such questions confront everyone who is waiting for God’s appearing. You all may have thought about such questions more than once, but what is the result? Where will God appear? Where will God’s footsteps be? Have you got the answers? Many people may reply like this, “God appears among all those who follow him, and God’s footsteps are among us. It’s just so simple!” Anyone can give a formulaic reply, but do you understand what God’s appearing is and what God’s footsteps are? God’s appearing means that God personally comes to earth to do his work, descending among men with his own identity, by his own nature, and in his own way to do the work of opening an age and ending an age. Such appearing is not a ritual, not a sign, not a picture, not a miracle, not a great vision, much less a religious procedure, but an actual and real fact which all men can touch and see. Such appearing is not to go through the motions or for a short-time work, but for a stage of the work in his management plan. God’s appearing each time is significant and has to do with his management plan. The “appearing” here is absolutely different from God’s “appearing” in his guiding man, leading man, or inspiring man. Each time God appears, he will do a great work. Such work is different from the work he did in any former age. It is beyond man’s imagination and has never been experienced by any man before, and it is to open a new age and end the old age. It is a newer and higher work to save mankind, and even more a work to lead mankind into the new age. This is the significance of God’s appearing.

After you all have understood what God’s appearing is, how should you search for God’s footsteps? This is not difficult to explain. That is: Where there is God’s appearing, there are God’s footsteps. Such an explanation sounds very simple, but it won’t be that easy to do, because many people do not know where God will appear, much less know where God wishes to appear or where God should appear. Some people may rashly think that where there is the working of the Holy Spirit, there is God’s appearing, where there is a spiritual man, there is God’s appearing, or where there are famous men, there is God’s appearing. Let’s not discuss for now whether their thoughts are right or wrong. To explain such a thing, we have to first be clear about our aim. We are searching for God’s footsteps, not searching for a spiritual man, much less seeking to follow famous men. We are seeking to follow God’s footsteps. Therefore, since we want to search for God’s footsteps, we have to search for his intention, search for his word, and search for his utterance. This is because where there is God’s new word, there is God’s voice, where there are God’s footsteps, there are God’s doings, where there is God’s announcement, there is God’s appearing, and where there is God’s appearing, there are the truth, the way, and the life. When you are searching for God’s footsteps, you all have neglected this word: “God is the truth, the way, and the life.” So, even after they have got the truth, many people do not think that they have found God’s footsteps, much less acknowledge that it is God’s appearing. What a serious mistake this is! God cannot possibly appear according to man’s notions, much less appear according to man’s requirements. When God does his work, he has his own choice and his own plan, and even more has his own goal and his own way. Whatever work he does, he needn’t consult with man and ask for man’s opinions about it, much less inform anyone of it. This is God’s nature and much more what everyone should know. If you want to see God’s appearing and follow God’s footsteps, you should first come out of your notions. You should not demand that God should do the work this way or that way, much less limit God to your imaginations or to your notions. Instead, you should ask how you should seek God’s footsteps, accept God’s appearing, and obey God’s new work. This is what man should do. This is because no man is the truth and no man has the truth, and what man should do is to seek, accept, and obey.
