After an examination at the hospital, he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. In March 1999, he lost his eyesight, and died on May 6, 1999. On May 11, Wang quarreled with her daughter-in-law about the burial of her husband. Being in a rage, her daughter-in-law drank pesticide that afternoon and died after all rescue measures failed. In January 2000, Wang suddenly became paralyzed from the waist down and was confined to bed, unable to look after herself. In July 2001, a sister went to see her and asked her, “Do you know the consequence of resisting God’s work?” She nodded and said, “I feel regret. If God heals me, I will testify for God.” But God’s nature doesn’t tolerate man’s offense, and God will repay the evil ones according to their evil deeds. 199. Mao X, male, 77 years old, from Baoji County, a pastor from the Three-Self Church. 201. Ma X, female, 56 years old, from Xi’an City, a preacher from the Three-Self Church. In August 2000, a sister went to her home to preach God’s end-time work to her. But before the sister fellowshipped with her, she stopped the sister and said, “Now, there are many people preaching false ways, especially Eastern Lightning. You should never believe in it. Whatever is preached outside the Bible is something to deceive people.” And she also blasphemed, “What they believe in is a false christ, and a cult.” Afterwards, she spread rumors in the meetings, “You shall not read the book of Eastern Lightning, much less accept it. Don’t be deceived.” In October 2000, Ma had a fall at home and broke her hipbone. Then she stayed in hospital for two months and spent more than 4,000 yuan. After returning home, she lay in bed for another month. On March 21, 2002, a sister went to see her, and she still said, “This way is false and is a cult. You should never follow it.” At noon of the next day, Ma’s cerebral hemorrhage relapsed and she was sent to the hospital. She stayed there for more than twenty days, which cost her more than 20,000 yuan. On the midday of April 15, Ma was discharged from hospital. On that night, another sister went to see her. She saw that Ma was lying in bed, unable to look after herself. She totally relied on her husband to attend her, and while she ate, she was dribbling. On the morning of April 16, Ma’s condition suddenly deteriorated, and she was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment. On June 5, she died.

202. Feng X, female, 47 years old, from Shangzhou City, a preacher from the Justification by Faith Church. In 1998, someone went to preach God’s end-time work to her. On the early morning of September 30, 1999, Feng went out by bike. On the way, she was knocked down by a big vehicle. Immediately the flesh on her face was torn open and her left leg was broken into two parts, which were only attached by the skin, and blood streamed out copiously. Just as she was desperately crying for help, a truck from behind rolled over her and killed her outright. The scene was too horrible to see!
