11. Zhao XX, female, aged 39, from Henan Province, formerly a believer in the Three-Self sect. Since 1995, someone had preached God’s end-time work to me many times (I cannot remember how many times exactly), but I rejected and resisted it. On the morning of August 16, 2000, when I went into my kitchen to cook, a box of detonators (100 pieces) on the top of the kitchen range suddenly exploded. The explosion threw me out four meters from the kitchen door and left me in a coma for a day. After I recovered, I was not awakened, but I resisted God’s end-time work more fiercely. Two months later, I worked with some people on a mountain. One of them was ready to blast away a rock, so the rest of us hid in a cave. Suddenly a stone flew in and fell right on my foot. Immediately, the blood streamed out. I was surprised that there were so many people standing at the mouth of the cave, yet the stone fell on my foot. These two accidents started me thinking, “What that person preached to me might be the true way, and maybe I have been punished for resisting it time after time.” Several days later, that person came to me again, and this time I no longer dared to refuse his preaching. After I listened to it, I saw the light and accepted God’s new work.

12. Jing XX, male, aged 60, from Henan Province, formerly a believer in the Local Church. Since September 1995, some brothers and sisters had preached Almighty God’s end-time work to me many times. However, I not only refused to accept it, but I resisted, blasphemed, and condemned it, and drove them away. On June 24, 2001, I suddenly got blisters all over, which hurt unbearably as if I were being burned. I kept praying for healing, but I did not get any better; I underwent treatment, yet it took no effect. I was so tortured that I would rather die than live. Only then did I start to examine myself: “I’ve prayed to God so many times. Why doesn’t God answer my prayers? Is it because I have blasphemed, condemned, and resisted the true God that I receive such a severe punishment?” Thinking of that, I hurriedly went to the brothers and sisters who had preached Almighty God’s end-time work to me. With their help, I accepted Almighty God’s work in December 2001. Soon afterward, I returned to normal.

13. Yang XX, female, aged 59, from Henan Province, formerly a believer in the Three-Self sect. From late July to early November 2001, my daughter preached Almighty God’s new work to me many times. However, I not only shut my ears to her, but I said many things that resisted and blasphemed God. Besides, I drove her away. On November 21, at about twelve noon, my nose suddenly bled. I immediately blocked it, but blood streamed out of my mouth. Although I underwent treatment in a local hospital for three days, I was still bleeding. At three o’clock on the early morning of November 23, I was urgently transferred to the People’s Hospital in our county. On the way there, I suffered from shock several times, and my family broke down in tears. At this life-or-death moment, I kept crying in my heart, “God of my daughter! Help me! Please help me!” Soon I bled less. After arriving at the hospital, I was found to have rupture of nasal blood vessels. I stayed in the hospital for nine days and spent about four or five thousand yuan on treatment. All these made me realize that I had been punished for resisting Almighty God. Filled with remorse, I confessed my sins to him. On December 2, after I got back from the hospital, I immediately called my daughter over, and she brought me a book of God’s word. Through eating and drinking God’s word, I understood God’s end-time work and came to know God’s nature that is intolerant of man’s offense. So I followed Almighty God resolutely.

14. Hu XX, male, aged 58, from Henan Province, formerly a believer in the Hua Xuehe sect. From October 1998 to January 1999, God’s end-time work was preached to me many times. However, I not only rejected it but condemned and blasphemed it. In July 1999, my wife was found to have uterine cancer and underwent surgery. But several days afterward her cut was still bleeding, so she had another operation. Her medical expenses cost over 3,000 yuan. Before long, I had a stomachache with nausea and vomiting, and every day I could not eat or sleep well. On September 25, 2002, I was diagnosed with stomach cancer. So I had to have an operation to remove part of my stomach. The medical treatment cost me over 8,000 yuan. In December 2002, a brother testified about God’s end-time work to me. When he talked about God’s nature being intolerant of man’s offense, I was awakened as if from a dream and accepted God’s end-time work right away. I really hated myself for being so blind and foolish that I did not even know I had offended the true God.

15. Guo XX, male, aged 61, from Henan Province, formerly a believer in the Praise Church. Since August 1999, some people had preached God’s end-time work to me many times, but I rejected it because I thought that I had believed in God much longer than them and so God could not appear to them first. Although they gave me warnings, I shut my ears to them and said, “Don’t come any more. I’m resigned to my fate. If I’m to be punished, I’ll take it!” On the afternoon of May 8, 2000, I suddenly fell to the ground and lost consciousness on my way home. After I came around, I found that I was lying in the hospital, unable to speak or move my arm and leg. The doctor diagnosed me with hemiplegia resulting from high blood pressure. From then on, I was confined to bed and given infusions and medicines every day. Although I had spent over 2,000 yuan on the treatment, I did not get any better. Even so, I was not aware that God was punishing me. In October 2001, another brother preached God’s end-time gospel to me. When he talked about God’s nature being intolerant of man’s offense, I realized that I was punished for resisting God. Filled with remorse, I accepted God’s end-time new work, and so did my family. Before long I was gradually on the mend. Now, I have been able to walk.
