26. Lu XX, female, aged 63, from Jiangsu Province, formerly a believer in the Hua Xuehe sect. In March 2000, my daughter-in-law preached God’s end-time gospel to me many times, but I stubbornly believed it to be false and refused to accept it. Besides, I spoke many slanders and blasphemies against God, and persuaded a brother who had accepted God’s end-time gospel into rejecting it. One day in April, I suddenly ran a high fever, vomited, and lost my appetite. After an examination in the hospital, I was diagnosed with hepatitis B. Then from June to November, I developed cholecystitis, diabetes, gallstones, and kidney stones. These diseases tried me a great deal, but I was not aware that God was punishing me. Later, I was confined to bed and lost weight from 70 kg to 39.5 kg. Only then did I realize that I must have been punished for resisting Almighty God, whom my daughter-in-law had preached to me. So I expected that she would come to preach the gospel to me once again. On January 25, 2001 (the second day of the first lunar month), sure enough, my daughter-in-law came to preach it to me again, and I accepted it gladly. Thank Almighty God for giving me another opportunity to repent! Now I have fully recovered.

27. Zhang XX, male, aged 64, from Anhui Province, formerly a leader in the Way of Life Church. Since 1999, someone had preached God’s end-time work to me many times. However, as I did not believe that God could be incarnated again to do his work, I not only rejected it, but condemned and resisted it. Moreover, I drove that person away. On July 28, 2002, when some other people preached God’s end-time work to me, I refused to accept it and even prayed and cursed them on the spot. No sooner had I finished my prayer than my head swam, and hurt as if it would burst. On August 4, at a meeting place I again prayed and cursed those who preached God’s end-time work. However, right after my prayer, my head hurt more than last time, and I felt as if I were dying. On the morning of August 5 of the same year, my eldest daughter preached God’s end-time work to me, but I still refused to accept it because I did not want to give up my position. Not long afterward, I developed chyluria. Two weeks later, I fell from my roof. Then, I became afraid and realized that these misfortunes were God’s punishment upon me. So I no longer dared to resist Almighty God but made up my mind to follow him.

28. Meng XX, male, aged 38, from Anhui Province, formerly a worker in the Hua Xuehe sect. Since August 1998, someone had preached God’s end-time salvation to me many times. However, I refused to accept it, and even resisted it and closed all our meeting places to outsiders. In mid-June 2002, another person came to preach God’s end-time gospel to me, but I drove him away with malicious words. In late June, my Boer goats worth over 1,000 yuan suddenly died. After that, my two children ran a high fever for several days, and I got kidney stones. We three spent a total of over 800 yuan on treatment. Shortly afterward, another person preached the gospel to me, but I still doubted it and refused to accept it. On the afternoon of November 5, my limbs were suddenly paralyzed. Then I became afraid and realized that I was punished by God for being too stubborn, so I accepted God’s end-time work. Before long I miraculously recovered.

29. Yang XX, male, aged 48, from Anhui Province, formerly a mid-level leader in the Hua Xuehe sect. Since 2000, some brothers and sisters had preached God’s end-time work to me many times. However, I not only rejected it but blasphemed God. What’s more, I closed all our meeting places to outsiders and told the brothers and sisters not to listen to the end-time gospel. On November 30, 2001, I suddenly developed cerebral vasospasm. I felt giddy and nauseated, and sometimes fainted. And my legs hurt so much that I could not walk. Although I spent over 3,000 yuan on my illness, it was not cured. On the night of February 14, 2002, I dreamed that a person pointed to the eastern sky and asked me to look. Then I saw a white-beard and white-haired old man coming with the clouds. He was dressed in a white robe reaching down to his feet, and wore a golden sash around his waist and a pair of bronze boots. He smiled and said to me, “Believe in Almighty God, and you’ll get well. Tomorrow you will receive a book.” Sure enough, a sister brought me a book of God’s word the next day. Without hesitation, I joyfully accepted God’s new work. Later, I was healed of my illness.

30. Wu XX, male, aged 51, from Anhui Province, formerly a deacon in the Hua Xuehe sect. Since the spring of 2002, someone had preached God’s end-time work to me many times. However, I not only refused to accept it but blasphemed and condemned it. Moreover, I said, “Even if you raise my father from the dead, I won’t believe what you preach.” On August 20, 2002, I was attacked by a sudden illness. Although I was given infusions and medicines, I did not get any better. Within over half a month, I went down to skin and bones. One day in September, a brother came to preach God’s end-time gospel to me, and I thought to myself, “I got this illness suddenly. And it’s still not cured although I have spent a lot of money on it. There may be God’s intention behind this. I might as well…” With this in mind, I received the brother. After I listened to his fellowship and ate and drank God’s word, I realized that I was punished with this illness for resisting the true God. So I accepted God’s end-time work at once. Not many days after, I recovered. How I thank the almighty and only true God!
