The Word Has Appeared in the Flesh

God, being incarnated, has come to China in a hidden way and done a conquering and saving work. We, who have been conquered by the word of Christ and received the great salvation, have personally experienced that the word of God is like a sharp two-edged sword and can truly save, transform, and perfect man, causing mankind to be free from satan’s evil and be completely gained by God. And we have personally experienced that Christ is indeed the truth, the way, and the life. If God were not incarnated, man would have no way to receive God’s salvation. If it were not for the judgment and chastisement before Christ’s seat, mankind would never know God.

We, who were born in Mainland China, are typical of people who are deeply corrupted by satan. To deal with our filthiness and corruption, God uttered millions of words of life. These utterances from the throne are rich in life and supply, which are not only what we need but even what God’s chosen people from every country and place need. Thus we have a wish and burden to translate God’s word into all languages, so that God’s chosen people from every country and place can hear God’s voice and enjoy God’s word. However, when we formally started to translate God’s word, we realized that every word and sentence of God’s words is so profound that human mind cannot fathom it and mankind cannot express it clearly in words. Only then did we realize how difficult it is to translate God’s word. As we are unable to give a completely accurate translation of God’s original word, we can only try our utmost to avoid making errors and try to preserve the original meaning and style of God’s word. And as for some words hard to render, we translated them literally. At any rate, our intention in making this translation is so that the brothers and sisters who can read English can also have great enjoyment and find a new horizon when reading this translated version of God’s word. God’s word is different from human language after all. If we had the ability of a linguist and a deeper experience and knowledge of God’s word, we might give a better translation. However, our command of language and our experience and knowledge of God’s word are inadequate. As our present translation of God’s word is the first version, it is unavoidable that there are improper and inaccurate renderings in it. We hope that brothers and sisters would forgive and bear with us. In order that all the brothers and sisters in the Lord can read the word of Almighty God and receive the salvation brought by his end-time work sooner, we completed the “First English Version of God’s Word” in haste. Although our translation is not completely accurate, as long as the brothers and sisters in the Lord can quiet your heart before God, drop your notions and imaginations, and seek the enlightenment and inspiration of the Holy Spirit when reading God’s word, you can surely recognize God’s voice and return before God’s throne.
