The Word Has Appeared in the Flesh

It’s Very Important to Build a Normal Relationship With God

For people to believe in God, love God, and satisfy God is to contact God’s Spirit with their heart and thus win God’s satisfaction and to contact God’s word with their heart and thus be moved by God’s Spirit. To have a normal spiritual living and build a normal relationship with God, one must first give his heart to God and quiet his heart before God. Only after his whole heart is turned to God will he gradually have a normal spiritual living. If one believes in God but does not give his heart to God, put his heart in God, or care for God’s burden as his burden, all that he does is cheating God and is the doing of a religious person, which cannot be commended by God. God can gain nothing from such a person. Such a person can only be a foil to God’s work, like an adornment in God’s house, and is a makeweight and a good-for-nothing. God won’t use such a person. Not only is there no opportunity for the Holy Spirit to work on such a person, but he is unworthy to be made perfect. Such a person is a sheer walking corpse. He does not have anything that can be used by the Holy Spirit, but he is fully occupied by satan and extremely corrupted by satan and is one who will be eliminated by God. Today when God uses men, he does not only bring their usable parts into play but perfects and transforms their unusable parts. If you can set your heart on God and quiet it before him, you will have opportunities and qualifications to be used by the Holy Spirit and receive inspiration and enlightenment from the Holy Spirit, and even more have opportunities to receive the Holy Spirit’s supply for your deficiencies. When you give your heart to God, on the positive side you will be able to enter in further and see higher things, and on the negative side you will be able to have more knowledge of your deficiencies and defects, and you will have a greater thirst to seek to satisfy God’s heart’s desire and will not become passive but will be able to actively enter in. This shows that you are a right person. After you quiet your heart before God, whether you can receive the Holy Spirit’s commendation and please God depends on whether you can actively enter in. When the Holy Spirit inspires and uses men, it will not at all cause them to be passive but will only cause them to be aggressive. You may be weak, but you won’t live in it or be hindered in your growth in life and can continue to seek to satisfy God’s heart’s desire. This is a standard. If you have reached this standard, it proves that you have received the presence of the Holy Spirit. If one is always negative, and still remains passive and cannot stand up to cooperate with God even though he is enlightened and comes to know himself, such a person has only received God’s grace but has not received the presence of the Holy Spirit. His being passive shows that his heart has not turned to God and his spirit has not been moved by God’s Spirit. Everyone should know about this.

In experience, we have seen that it is a most important thing for one to quiet his heart before God. It has a bearing on his spiritual living and his growth in life. Only if you quiet your heart before God will you achieve results in pursuing the truth and the transformation of your nature. This is because you come before God with a burden, always feeling that you are so deficient, that there are many truths you need to know and many realities you need to experience, and that you ought to care for God’s intention. You always have these things on your mind, as if you are overburdened with them, and as a result you feel heavy at heart. (But you are not in a passive state.) Only such a person is qualified to receive the inspiration of God’s word and the moving of God’s Spirit. It is because of his burden and his heavy heart, that is, because of the price he pays and the sufferings he undergoes in God’s presence, that he receives God’s inspiration and enlightenment. This is because God does not show favoritism to anyone, and he always treats everyone fairly, but he does not give to anyone lightly or give to anyone unconditionally. This is one aspect of his righteous nature. In practical life, most people have not reached such a state. They have not even turned their whole heart to God, which is what they should at least achieve. So, up till now they have not gained much transformation in their life nature. This is because they are only living in God’s grace but have not received the working of the Holy Spirit. The criterion a person who can be used by God should reach is that he turns his heart to God, has a burden for God’s word, has a thirsting heart, and has the will to seek the truth. Only such a person can receive the working of the Holy Spirit and often receive inspiration and enlightenment. Outwardly, a person used by God seems to have no sense and have no normal relationship with people. However, he has a sense of propriety in his speaking and does not speak indiscreetly, and he can always quiet his heart before God. Such a person is adequate to be used by the Holy Spirit. As for such a person without sense whom God speaks about, outwardly he seems to have no normal relationship with people and pays no attention to outward love or outward practice. However, when he fellowships about the things in the spirit, he can open his heart and selflessly supply others with his practical experiences and the enlightenment and inspiration he receives in God’s presence, thus expressing his love for God and satisfying God’s heart’s desire. When others slander and ridicule him, he can still remain quiet before God without being influenced by the people, matters, and things around him. Such a person seems to have his own views. No matter how others behave, he can always keep his heart with God. When others are talking and laughing, he still keeps his heart before God, pondering God’s word or praying silently to the God in his heart to seek God’s will. He never pays attention to maintaining a normal relationship with others. Such a person seems to have no philosophy of life. Outwardly, such a person is lively, lovely, somewhat childlike, and somewhat composed. This is what a person used by God is like. Things like philosophy of life and “normal sense” simply have no place in such a person. He just puts his whole heart into God’s word, as if he has only God in his heart. Such a person is a person “without sense” whom God speaks about, a person used by God. A person used by God is like this: No matter when and where, he keeps his heart before God, and no matter how others behave unrestrainedly and how they indulge their lust and their flesh, he always keeps his heart with God and never follows the crowd. Only such a person is fit for God’s use and is one who will be made perfect by the Holy Spirit. If you cannot achieve this, you won’t be qualified to be gained by God or made perfect by the Holy Spirit.
