The Word Has Appeared in the Flesh

The Mystery of the Incarnation (2)

When Jesus did the work in Judea at that time, he did it in an open way. Today I do the work and speak words among you in a hidden way. The unbelievers know nothing about it. The work done among you is all concealed. Except for you, all the other people do not know about the words and the chastisement and judgment. This work is only done among you and is only open to you. None of the unbelievers knows it, because the time has not come. Even when you have almost been made complete through experiencing chastisement, the outsiders know nothing about it. This work is too hidden! The incarnated God is hidden from them, but she is open to the people in this stream. Although everything God does is open, revealed, and released, this is only true when his believers are concerned, and to the unbelievers, nothing is open. The work done here today is concealed closely and kept unknown to them. If they knew it, they would only condemn and persecute it, and they would not believe it. It is not easy to do the work in the country of the great red dragon, that is, in this most backward place. If the work were done in an open way, it could not be carried on. The work at this stage is simply not allowable in this place. If it were done in an open way, how could they allow that? Wouldn’t I be running a greater risk? If this work were not done in a hidden way but done as Jesus healed the sick and drove out demons in a dramatic way at that time, wouldn’t it have been “captured” by the devils long ago? Would they allow God’s existence? If today I went to preach and teach people in the churches, wouldn’t I have been shredded into pieces long ago? In that case, how could the work be carried on? Now I do not perform any signs and wonders publicly just for the purpose that the work can be kept hidden. That is why the unbelievers cannot see, know, or discover it. If the work at this stage were done as Jesus did the work in the Age of the Grace, then it could not proceed steadily like now. Therefore, the work being done in such a hidden way is beneficial to you and to all the work. When God’s work on earth ends, that is, when this hidden work ends, the work at this stage will explode. And everyone will know that there are a group of people in China who have overcome and that God was incarnated in China and his work has been concluded. Only then will they suddenly realize: Why has China not declined or collapsed before this? Because God was personally doing his work in China and has made a group of overcomers.

The incarnated God only appears to a number of people who follow him when he personally does the work, and he does not appear to all created beings. He is incarnated only to accomplish a stage of his work but not to let people see his image. However, his work has to be done by himself personally, so he has to come into the flesh to do it. When his work is finished, he will leave the world, and he cannot continue to stay in the world for a long time lest his future work be hindered. What will appear to all men are only his righteous nature and all his deeds but not his two incarnate images, because God’s image can only be revealed through his nature but cannot be replaced by his incarnate image. His image in the flesh only appears to a limited number of people, to those who follow him when he does his work in the flesh, so now he does the work in a hidden way. For example, when Jesus did the work, he only appeared to those Jews and did not publicly appear to any nation other than Judea. So after he finished the work, he left the world soon and did not stay any longer. After that, he no longer appeared to people in his image, but the Holy Spirit did the work directly. When the incarnated God finishes all his work, he will leave the world. After that he will no longer do any work like what he does when he is in the flesh. The work after that will all be done by the Holy Spirit directly. At that time, people can hardly see his image in the flesh, and he will not appear to people at all but hide from them forever. The work of the incarnated God is done within a limited time and done in a specific age, at a specific time, in a specific country, and among specific people. It only represents the work God does during his incarnation, represents one age, represents the work of God’s Spirit in one age, but does not represent all the work of God’s Spirit. So, God’s incarnate image will not appear to all the peoples. What will appear to all men are God’s righteousness and God’s entire nature, not God’s two incarnate images. He will not appear to people with one of the two images or appear to them with a combined image of the two. So, the incarnated flesh of God has to leave the earth after he finishes the work he ought to do, because he is incarnated only to accomplish the work he ought to do, not to manifest his image to people. Even though the two incarnations have completed the significance of God’s incarnation, he will not publicly appear to any nation that has never seen him. Jesus will not appear to the Jews again as the sun of righteousness, nor will he appear to all the peoples on the Mount of Olives. What the Jews see is only the portrait of the he in Judea. As the work of the incarnated Jesus had been finished two thousand years ago, he will not return to Judea with his image, much less appear to any Gentile nation with his Jewish image again, for the image of the incarnated Jesus was only an image of a Jew, not the “Son of Man’s” image seen by John. Even though Jesus had promised his followers that “he would come again,” he will not appear to all the Gentile people with his Jewish image. You should know that the work of the “incarnation” is to open an age and is a work of a few limited years, which cannot complete all the work of God’s Spirit. For example, the Jewish image of Jesus could only represent his image as God when he did the work in Judea and he could only do the work of crucifixion. When Jesus was in the flesh, he could not do the work of concluding the age and destroying mankind. So after he was crucified and concluded his work, he ascended to the highest place and hid from man forever. Thus, those faithful Gentile believers cannot see the appearing of the Lord Jesus either, but they only see his portrait they put up on the wall. Such a portrait is merely something painted by man but not the image with which God Godself appeared to people. God will not publicly appear to all men with his two incarnate images. The work he does among people is to cause them to know about his nature. All this is revealed to people through his work of different ages, through his nature he makes known and the work he does, not through the appearing of Jesus. That is to say, God’s image is made known to people not through his incarnate image but through the work done by the incarnated God who is with form and image, and through the work he (she) does, God reveals his image and makes known his nature to people. This is the significance of the work he wants to do through being incarnated.

As soon as the two works of the incarnation are finished, he will start to reveal his righteous nature to all the Gentile nations, causing all men to see his image. He will reveal his nature and thus reveal the outcome of each kind of person and conclude all the old ages. The reason why his working in the flesh does not involve a very wide area (for example, Jesus only did the work in Judea and today the work is only done among you), is that his working in the flesh is within a certain area and within a limited time, and is only to do a short-time work through his image in the ordinary and normal flesh, not to do the work of eternity or to do the work of appearing to all the Gentile people through his incarnated flesh. His work in the flesh can only be done within a certain area (for example, only in Judea or only among you), and through the work done within this area, he will then spread it to more areas. Of course, the work of spreading will be done by his Spirit directly, and at that time it will not be the work of his incarnated flesh. This is because his work in the flesh is done within a certain area and does not involve every corner of the entire universe, which is unattainable. His Spirit will carry out the future work through the work done in the flesh. So, the work done in the flesh is an initial work done within a limited area, and after this his Spirit will continue the work and will spread it to more areas.

When God comes to earth to do his work, it is only to lead an age, open a new age, end the old age, not to go through life as man does, to personally taste the joys and sorrows of the world, to personally perfect a certain person, or to personally witness a certain person’s growth. This is not his work. His work is only to start a new age and end the old age. That is, he himself starts an age and ends the age, and defeats satan by working personally. Every time he does the work personally, it means that he personally goes to “battlefield,” first triumphing over the world and satan and gaining all his glory and lifting the “curtain” over the entire two-thousand-year work in the flesh, so that all people on earth can have a proper way to go and can enjoy days of peace and joy. However, God cannot live together with man on earth for a long time, because God is God and he is different from man after all. He cannot go through a life as a normal person does, that is, he cannot live on earth for long as a very ordinary and common person does, because he only has a little of the normal humanity of a normal person to maintain his human life. That is to say, how could God “get married and start a career, bear and raise children” on earth? Wouldn’t that be a shame? He has a normal humanity for the purpose that he can do the work normally. But his normal humanity is not for him to get married and start a career as a normal person does. His normal sense, normal thinking, and normal eating and dressing in the flesh are sufficient to prove that his humanity is a normal humanity. He does not need to “get married and start a career” to prove that his humanity is a normal humanity. That is not necessary at all! When God comes to earth, it is that the “Way” becomes flesh. His purpose is only to cause people to understand his way and see his way, that is, to cause them all to see the work done by his flesh. His intention is not to let anyone exalt his flesh, but only to let people obey him to the end, that is, obey all the words from his mouth and all the works he does. He only does the work in the flesh and does not intend to let people exalt the greatness and holiness of his flesh. He only causes people to see his wisdom in doing the work and all his authority. Therefore, even though he has a very high humanity, he does not publicize it at all but simply does the work he ought to do. You should know why God is incarnated and yet never publicizes or testifies about his normal humanity but only does the work he wants to do. Therefore, all that you see in the incarnated God is his divine being. This is only because he never publicizes his human being for people to imitate. Only when men lead others, they introduce their human being so as to cause others to admire and obey them, so that they can lead them. However, God Godself conquers people merely through the work he does (that is, the work beyond man’s capacity). He does not intend to make people admire him or make them all “adore” him, but only causes them to feel fearful toward him or cause them all to feel that he is unfathomable. God does not need man to admire him but only requires you to fear him after seeing his nature. What God does is his own work, which cannot be done by man in his stead and which is beyond man’s capacity. Only God Godself can do his own work and can open a new age and lead people into a new life. The work he does is for the purpose that people can have a new life and enter into a new age. And he will entrust the rest of the work to those who have normal humanity and who are admired by people. Therefore, in the Age of the Grace, he finished the two-thousand-year work within the three and a half of his thirty-three years of incarnation. Every time God comes to earth to do his work, he finishes the two-thousand-year work or the work of the entire age within as few years as possible. He does not prolong the time or protract the period but simply finishes his many-year work within as few years as possible. This is because the purpose of his working personally is only to open up a new way and lead a new age.
